. x$ R. l& B. l9 q* V+ s/ D. R4 z6 y8 v42年1月3日，此时局面变的非常简单了，KB和58相距3格，KB在北，58在南。下回合58必定全速逃窜，就看KB移动的方向是否是和58相同了。一个简单而直接的赌博。& i5 h, u% _+ I8 ^

这里日军最终做出了返回向北移动的选择。因为在58以南海域埋伏的3条SS已经被盟军发现，之前吃过SS亏的盟军对反潜还是相当重视，上回合列克星敦还被SS攻击了，我想经历过达尔文海狼围剿的盟军不敢贸然向南穿越潜艇封锁线。当然这都是乱猜，其实就是赌了一把。而这次幸运的是，日军赌赢了。

天亮后，KB惊喜的发现58就在距离自己5格的位置。但是早上南云依然因为天气原因选择了没有发起攻击，此时天皇心急如焚，难道机会又要被错过了？.....飞龙号舰长山口多闻以死力荐强烈要求出击，南云终于在下午做出决定，KB打出了期待已久的攻击波：
