  X3 E2 |! _9 u+ @! ~9 Y经过几个月的准备和策划,兵精粮足的盟军终于开始了下一步的攻势,这次的攻击目标是遥远的澳西,昨天莫港的虚招已经被日军识破,所以盟军今天展开了正面强攻,澳洲各大9级机场今天起飞了几千架次的飞机,目标有澳西的各个日军机场和澳北的凯瑟琳机场。

攻击凯瑟琳机场的目的是削弱澳西附近日军可用的飞机增援,澳西的轰炸行动由于没有日军战斗机的干扰,获得完全的成功,盟军的初代B29也在这一战中首次投入了战斗,出动了近100架。

5 ?  ~4 G% w8 m/ a7 B8 L5 E不过盟军的P47D25显然没有在凯瑟琳占到任何便宜,驻守此地的大概也是日军的精锐中的精锐还乡团,雷电陷入苦战,付出重大损失后突破了日军的防线,后续跟进的4发不负重望,彻底摧毁了该机场,同时击毁了机场上大约350架以上的日军轰炸机和运输机。空战中大约有110架盟军战斗机被击落,日军大概损失了140架,盟军阵亡+失踪了50多名精锐飞行员,日军阵亡了40多飞行员,空战的结果可谓日军大胜。1 W, m( I) s  C& \' O
