1. 硫磺岛为战略要地，但是周围没有大型日军机场支撑，是天然的航母决战场所，盟军的主要目的为试探日军的防御底线和策略，看天蝗有没有决心为了保卫硫磺岛投入整个联合舰队与盟军决战。盟军早在1个月前就知道联合舰队的主力在太平洋，仍然选择出击硫磺岛，就是为此。测试的结果是天蝗不愿意冒险在没有陆基合击的情况下投入kb，即使为了硫磺岛这种距离东京仅仅1000海里的战略要地。加入日军有决心决战，盟军愿意在这个地方哪怕付出重大代价也要重创kb，为45年的大规模反击打好基础。. Z( q. |+ t9 P

( |% _% w  w- Q; M6 A3 @$ A2. 如果日军不愿意决战，盟军从容登陆硫磺岛，按照盟军的情报，硫磺岛并没有特别加固，从上岛后工事只有5级可以看出，而且直到盟军舰队从PH启航前，硫磺岛都只有1个师团左右的日军，其他的部队是盟军启航后，中途被日军发现后紧急增援的，按照大统领以往的环礁作战经验，这次登陆战是准备充分且有把握的。实际的战斗也证明了这一点，舰队炮击，轰炸，以及上岸的滩头炮击，都充分的杀伤了日军，杀伤力度也是历次登陆最大的一次，如果是一般的环礁，日军防御早已崩溃，盟军可以轻松破防。. d5 i  h% O9 s& t9 T
不过知天易，逆天难，硫磺岛这个历史战场，大统领明显感觉到盟军有一个隐藏的属性，会在登陆首日遭遇重大伤亡，战斗值调整极其难看，官网的各种战报，还有和天蝗实验性的跑档更为凄惨的结果都可以支持这个想法。
