16.1.1 AUTOMATIC SHIP REPLACEMENTS
( V" P9 `/ j8 W1 jThere are several instances in which replacement ships may be provided as reinforcements
+ _, T( f9 [3 W" jif a ship is sunk during the game. Replacement ships are generated if the option is selected
; R4 M. j, s6 M) Yfor the scenario and:
* k/ ]0 w# b+ B& u7 AAn American CV is sunk prior to 1944 will be replaced by an Essex-class CV.
7 D- l7 p$ S5 I. L6 V8 IAn American or Australian CA that is sunk prior to 1944 will be replaced by a Baltimore-class * p" G& a% z) W! N, c
CA or a Cleveland-class CL. The replacement class is chosen at random.
/ C" D2 F- i7 d7 I" Q; HJapanese Midget Submarines will be replaced with a Type “D” Midget Submarine
; A8 U; W: z& ]% OWhenever a replacement ship is created, it will be placed in the reinforcement list and given an ' W) R; ]: u3 {4 |2 F1 f
arrival time of at least 450 days from the date the original ship was sunk.
