为了减少登陆损失，蝗军决定先派遣2个旅团上岸占领港口，不过拥有铁路机动优势的盟军，在蝗军第一波登陆部队上岸后及时赶到了登陆场增援，蝗军第一天的攻击以失败告终，滩头的KB和MINIKB和盟军飞机大战2天，自损近30架，击落盟军各型飞机250架，加贺中雷一枚，震怒之下的天蝗命令主力部队第3天强行登陆发动攻击，至此顺利占领新西兰第一个滩头阵地----吉尔伯恩，胜利在向蝗军招手，毛利人自发组织各种慰问团夹道欢迎~~
