爪哇防御当时关心的是:
$ r" o3 P' s0 |1,高倍地形,除大城市4倍(爪哇没有),JR MT等3倍地形算最高的了。
5 D( o; [  t+ `" i4 R2,不靠海,虽不能造港口,但不会被炮击,敌人啃起来要费更大劲。
; N) Q2 t# X" O) K% t$ y$ p" v* _专门运来高炮旅防空,给支援的日军飞机添乱。
; R8 b5 m# G( c, r3,要是基地或潜在基地,部队可以共用城防,否则部队的防御是野战防御
* u; H' y, z% x各部队单独计算,一旦移动就归零。7 o9 M0 W: c5 u* T8 q/ k7 m7 {
符合这些要求的就4个地方,北面2个山地MT,南边2个JR丛林+崎岖地形(见下图)( D6 P' _% R3 }) w
考虑到长远坚守的话,山地补给消耗量每天要比JR地形高,& G: l5 P0 y5 D' c, c2 b
最优选择应该在南面的2个地点选,不过本档木已成舟,没法改了。  |& p# p/ b( h! E( B

爪哇的补给还远远不够,这么久时间日军没有封锁爪哇,其实够弄很多上去了。选择万隆是没错的,不过要注意在南面和西南的邻接山地也放一些部队,这样可以使日军包围成本大大上升,而不包围的话,爪哇必须大量驻军,南方军主力就没法抽调到其他地方去,盲目抽调攻打印度或者澳洲,将使盟军有可能在42年反攻南洋。所以日军最低限度也需要包围万隆,求稳的会选择尽全力拿下,以确保一个相对安全的南洋。
另外再提醒下,盟军完全没必要在补给上斤斤计较,只有运力限制,没有补给限制,能运就全力运到需要的地方去,不要让运输船闲置,盟军靠的就是海量的补给来耗死日军的。
